Si no tiene seguro o no tiene intenci\u00f3n de utilizarlo para pagar los servicios sanitarios programados que no sean de urgencia<\/strong>La ley federal exige que los proveedores y centros sanitarios le faciliten una estimaci\u00f3n de los gastos previstos por los art\u00edculos y servicios m\u00e9dicos al menos un d\u00eda laborable antes de la prestaci\u00f3n de los servicios programados.<\/p>

- Si no est\u00e1 asegurado o no utiliza un seguro para pagar sus servicios sanitarios y recibe una factura que supera en al menos $400 su Estimaci\u00f3n de Buena Fe, puede impugnar la factura.<\/p>

Cualquier paciente<\/strong>\u00a0puede solicitar una estimaci\u00f3n de los gastos previstos por servicios sanitarios que no sean de urgencia y que hayan sido solicitados, programados o remitidos, y la ley estatal exige que los proveedores y centros sanitarios le faciliten una estimaci\u00f3n de la factura prevista por art\u00edculos y servicios m\u00e9dicos en un plazo de 3 d\u00edas h\u00e1biles a partir de la solicitud.<\/p>

- Tiene derecho a recibir una estimaci\u00f3n de buena fe del coste total previsto de cualquier art\u00edculo o servicio que no sea de urgencia. Esto incluye costes relacionados como pruebas m\u00e9dicas, medicamentos recetados, equipos y honorarios hospitalarios.
- Si solicita una estimaci\u00f3n y el cargo real por los servicios de asistencia sanitaria supera su estimaci\u00f3n de buena fe en el mayor de los siguientes valores (i) $100; o (ii) 5%, le explicaremos por escrito por qu\u00e9 los gastos superan la estimaci\u00f3n.
- Aseg\u00farese de guardar una copia o imagen de su Estimaci\u00f3n de Buena Fe.<\/p>
