class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">to discuss National Nutrition Month<\/span><span id=\"E325\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> y <\/span><span id=\"E326\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">her tips and tricks <\/span><span id=\"E327\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">f<\/span><span id=\"E328\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">o<\/span><span id=\"E329\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">r<\/span><span id=\"E330\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E331\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">sustaining<\/span><span id=\"E332\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E333\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">healthy eating habits<\/span><span id=\"E334\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E335\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">throughout the year<\/span><span id=\"E336\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"E338\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-2\"><span id=\"E339\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Focus on Flavor<\/span><\/h2>\n<p id=\"E340\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E341\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Sodium <\/span><span id=\"E342\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">sparks <\/span><span id=\"E343\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">a firework of flavor<\/span><span id=\"E344\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E345\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u2013<\/span><span id=\"E347\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E348\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">however, we<\/span><span id=\"E349\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> often<\/span><span id=\"E350\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E351\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">consume <\/span><span id=\"E352\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">much more than the suggested amount (<\/span><span id=\"E353\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">less than <\/span><span id=\"E354\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">2<\/span><span id=\"E355\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">,<\/span><span id=\"E356\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">300 mg\/day). <\/span><span id=\"E357\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Finding flavor substitutes is key <\/span><span id=\"E358\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">to<\/span><span id=\"E359\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> reducing sodium consumption. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E361\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E362\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u201cThink about the herbs, spices and acidic flavors you can be adding into the mix<\/span><span id=\"E363\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">,<\/span><span id=\"E364\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u201d Nutrition suggests. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E366\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E367\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Seasonings come in many forms, <\/span><span id=\"E368\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">so pulling out the spices and putting away the salt <\/span><span id=\"E369\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">is achievable. <\/span><span id=\"E370\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Cooking <\/span><span id=\"E371\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">from home<\/span><span id=\"E372\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E373\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">also <\/span><span id=\"E374\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">allows you <\/span><span id=\"E375\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">to <\/span><span id=\"E376\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">better control ingredients and portion sizes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E378\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E379\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">In addition, they<\/span><span id=\"E380\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u00a0recommend m<\/span><span id=\"E381\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">ixing more vegetables, fruits, and<\/span><span id=\"E385\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u00a0whole grains<\/span><span id=\"E386\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> into your<\/span><span id=\"E387\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> meals<\/span><span id=\"E388\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">.<\/span><span id=\"E389\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E390\" Additionally, a light snack between lunch and dinner will reduce overeating at night, <\/span><span id=\"E438\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">which is <\/span><span id=\"E439\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">a common problem<\/span><span id=\"E440\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"contentsContainer\" class=\"style-scope qowt-page\">\n<div id=\"contents\" class=\"style-scope qowt-page\">\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 id=\"E442\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-2\"><span id=\"E443\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Watch Your Sugar Intake<\/span><\/h2>\n<p id=\"E444\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E445\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Sugar and artificial <\/span><span id=\"E446\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">sweeteners<\/span><span id=\"E447\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> can <\/span><span id=\"E448\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">wreak havoc<\/span><span id=\"E449\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> on your diet, sleep<\/span><span id=\"E450\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> schedule<\/span><span id=\"E451\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> and energy levels.<\/span><span id=\"E452\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> While we know des<\/span><span id=\"E453\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">s<\/span><span id=\"E454\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">erts and breakfast foods are high in sugar, we often neglect the sugar content in unsweet<\/span><span id=\"E455\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">ened<\/span><span id=\"E456\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> foods like crackers, ready<\/span><span id=\"E457\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">-to-<\/span><span id=\"E458\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">eat snacks and pasta sauces. Make sure to look at the nutrition labels before consuming<\/span><span id=\"E459\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> pre-packaged food,<\/span><span id=\"E460\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> even if you don\u2019t associate that food group with sugar<\/span><span id=\"E461\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">!<\/span><span id=\"E462\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E464\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E465\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Finally, they<\/span><span id=\"E466\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> suggest replacing high-sugar beverages with fruit-infused water<\/span><span id=\"E467\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E468\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">y <\/span><span id=\"E469\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">other reduced-sugar drinks. \u201cIt\u2019s simple<\/span><span id=\"E470\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">:<\/span><span id=\"E471\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E472\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">L<\/span><span id=\"E473\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">ess than 10% of your daily calories should come from sugar.<\/span><span id=\"E475\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"E479\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-2\"><span id=\"E480\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Aim<\/span><span id=\"E481\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">ing<\/span><span id=\"E482\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> for Consistency<\/span><\/h2>\n<p id=\"E483\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-3\"><span id=\"E484\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">National <\/span><span id=\"E485\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\">Nutrition<\/span><span id=\"E486\" class=\"qowt-font6-Arial\"> Month shouldn\u2019t be the only time you focus on your eating habits.
