As cases of influenza and other upper respiratory illnesses surge across our service areas, Cameron Health is taking proactive steps to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff members. Following consultation with healthcare experts, Cameron is set to implement new protocols aimed at mitigating the spread of these illnesses within our facilities.

Visitor restrictions, for now, will be enforced only at Cameron Hospital. Up to two visitors (ages 12 years or older) are permitted at a time per patient. In the Medical Office Building (MOB) and off-site clinics, there are no specific visitor restrictions, but patients are encouraged to limit guests when possible. Exceptions to the restrictions may be granted for end-of-life situations and other special circumstances.
Universal masking is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged throughout the hospital and other Cameron locations to help reduce the spread of upper respiratory illnesses. Notices will be posted at all patient and visitor entry points to help highlight current restrictions and the importance of mask usage, particularly for individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms.
These enhanced measures take effect on Monday, January 12th, 2026.
Cameron Health remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of all individuals within our care. By implementing these proactive measures, we aim to minimize the impact of influenza and similar illnesses on our patients, staff, and broader community
