Why Choose Cameron for Your Maternity Hospital

Although nine months seems like a rather long time, once your pregnancy progresses to the second trimester, that time usually begins to fly. This is just one of the reasons choosing a hospital for delivery early in your second trimester is beneficial. Your comfort and privacy are top priorities for us. From our private rooms supplied with state-of-the-art equipment to our nurses with extensive training and experience in obstetrics, our birthing center offers many features.

Exceptional Care

From hydrotherapy with jet tubs for childbirth to aromatherapy in delivery and postpartum rooms, our birthing center offers mothers with a variety of amenities. In addition to routine baby care, Cameron offers advanced fetal care.

Security for You and Your New Baby

You want to know that when your baby is not with you, he or she is safely being cared for by hospital staff. Cameron security will include a locking, monitored entrance, exit door, and an infant security system.

Personalized Options for Your Birth Plan

When choosing a maternity hospital, your specific birthing needs must be available. These needs may include hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and pain medication. Additionally, choosing Cameron for delivery ensures you’ll have a board-certified anesthesiologist available to administer medication.

Wireless Baby Monitoring

Wireless monitoring allows you to walk around freely while you are in labor, which is extremely beneficial because, if you remain active, your labor should progress faster.

Rooming-In

Choosing a maternity hospital like Cameron that offers rooming-in which means that, as long as your baby does not require any special medical assistance, he or she can remain in a bassinet in your room.

Comfortable Rooms with Large Showers

Cameron offers private labor and delivery and postpartum rooms with wireless internet access. Both rooms will be suitably furnished and of good size so that mothers and their families can enjoy the experience as much as possible, without feeling cramped or uncomfortable.

C-Section Experts and Operating Rooms

Choosing a hospital for delivery that has an operating room and a team of experts to perform C-sections ensures that, should the need arise, you can have this procedure. While no new mom expects her birth plan to go awry, choosing a state-of-the-art medical hospital, like Cameron, ensures your safety and comfort should unexpected procedures be required.

Lactation Consultants

Many mothers who plan on bypassing breastfeeding and heading directly into sterilized bottles and formula change their minds after their little one is placed into their arms. Cameron offers trained lactation consultants who can provide breastfeeding education to new mothers or those who experience challenges while nursing.

Educational Materials

Although educational materials benefit all mothers, they are especially helpful for first-time mothers. The materials available should be wide-ranging, covering everything from how to swaddle your baby to the ABCs of safe sleep. At Cameron Birthing Center, we provide more than just a safe space to deliver your baby — we also help our new mothers step confidently into their new role by providing thorough maternity and pediatric education and classes for parents.

A: Car seat safety is critical for protecting your child from injury while traveling. Parents should keep the following guidelines in mind when securing children in a vehicle:

  • Although recommendations may vary based on your car seat’s manufacturer, as well as your child’s age and weight, a general rule is that children under age 2 should ride in a rear-facing car seat.
  • Always refer to the height and weight limits provided by the manufacturer to determine when your child is ready to transition to a front-facing booster seat and beyond.
  • Carefully follow the car seat’s owner’s manual when installing a seat for a newborn.
  • Avoid placing your baby in a car seat while wrapped in a blanket or wearing a coat, as this can interfere with proper harnessing.
