Cameron Health Expands Wound Care Options in Steuben County

Cameron Health is excited to announce the expansion of its Wound Care Clinic in early December, underscoring Cameron Health’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to high-quality, specialized care for patients and the community.

Matthew SieloffMatthew Sieloff, DPM, of Cameron Podiatry, has played a pivotal role in establishing the clinic’s wound care services over the past three years. Dr. Sieloff has been providing podiatric wound care, including chronic wound management, diabetic foot exams, wound debridement, and treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and puncture or laceration injuries.

“It’s been rewarding to see how specialized wound care can change patients’ lives,” said Dr. Sieloff. “The expansion of these services allows us to continue that commitment and reach even more people in need.”

With a growing demand for advanced wound care in the region, Cameron is pleased to welcome Philip A. Rettenmaier, DO, to its team. His expertise will further strengthen the hospital’s wound care capabilities, enhance continuity of care, and ensure that patients can receive the specialized treatment they need close to home.

“I’m excited to help grow wound care in the Angola area so that patients won’t need to travel out of town to receive those services,” said Dr. Rettenmaier. “I look forward to serving the community and helping patients heal and regain their quality of life.”

Dr. Rettenmaier will focus on chronic wound care management and expand the scope of services outside of podiatry. He will provide comprehensive treatment for non-healing wounds through methods such as debridement, specialized dressings, compression therapy, and total contact casting. His care will include treatment of non-healing wounds, venous stasis ulcers, pressure wounds, and surgical wounds.

Dr. Rettenmaier is a board-certified physician with over forty years of experience specializing in complex wound care, tissue repair, and aesthetics. He received his undergraduate degree in science from the University of Iowa and his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He completed an internship at Davenport Osteopathic Hospital, a residency in family practice at Memorial Hospital, and a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine at the University of Maryland.

Angie Logan, president and CEO of Cameron Health added that “this new clinic reflects the hard work of many and represents the continued growth of Cameron as a trusted healthcare partner in our region. We look forward to the positive impact this expansion will have for our patients and community.”

Together, Dr. Rettenmaier and Dr. Sieloff will lead a comprehensive wound care program that brings specialized treatment closer to home, reinforcing Cameron Health’s mission of accessible, patient-centered care.
